big day

today was ben's first day of preschool. REAL preschool, at an elementary school, not daycare. YEASHHHHHHH!


yes, i was freaking out.
yes, i was a nervous wreck.
yes, i did cry about it. a few times, in fact.

and yes, as in most cases with my children, ben surprised me by making the transition so easily.

it does make it easier on me that ben's teacher is my next door neighbor.
we love her and trust her completely. she's amazing.
i promise you, you'll never find anyone who cares about kids more than she does.
and without her, we would be absolutely lost.

but i have to give credit to my ben boy.
he is so willing to try new things.
he loves an adventure.
he is naturally curious and trusting.
so it's only makes sense that he would LOVE going to a new school and exploring his new class.



ben will go to his new school every thursday until school lets out at the end of may.
and then he'll start again in august.

my big boy just got bigger.
whew.
i need a tissue.
the tears are still flowin.

p.s. it was a big day for my parents too. they made settlement on their home in new jersey and are now alabama bound! woo hoo!
