well the eggs hatched and the little birds have grown right before our eyes.
this was a week ago!
daddy cardinal was feeding them.
they are now TWICE as big.
sadly, though, there are only two.
when i came home this afternoon, the two babies were out of the nest and perched on the rose bush branches together.
both the mommy and daddy are just steady chirping, teaching them.
and the coolest summer science project continues!

I love the ordinary miracles! Last year we had dove's nest in our play set in the back yard. I loved every second of it and felt like they trusted us with their family. I looked for them this spring, but they didn't return. I love your cardinals and that they started their family alongside yours!
