this weekend was completely uneventful.
my to-do list sat untouched while the laundry seemed to multiply.
and before i knew it, monday morning had come.
boooooo.
so lately i've been thinking.
dangerous stuff, i tell ya.
thinking about my house, stuff i want to do, the crazy list of plans and ideas and never-ending desire to mix it up.
do you ever hate your house?
sometimes i do.
sometimes i want to throw away everything and start over.
sometimes i wish a design show would come in and make it all perfect and beautiful.
sometimes i wish i had what everyone else had--OR i wish i could just be like a normal person who decorates something and likes it for YEARS. exactly the way it is.
because honestly, i cannot be like that. i've tried, but it doesn't stick.
i constantly play. i constantly move things. i constantly dream and imagine.
and it's annoying. (i can only imagine how annoying it is to my poor john.)
so, anyways, i don't know where all this is coming from but it's there.
on my mind constantly.
i've been going through my inspiration files trying to, well, find some inspiration.
our screened porch is almost finished and i have to figure out how to make it work and look fun and awesome.
i will show you some pictures soon.
i need help! i need ideas! i can't even figure out what colors i like out there.
and of course, i need to do this on a teeny tiny budget.
so if you have any ideas or pics of your outdoor space, please shoot them my way!
since you've read this far, and to show my sincere thanks, here are a couple of awesome porch pics for your viewing pleasure. it's the least i can do!
i love the old doors used to make a screen here.
this one is so eclectic and perfectly aged. we're definitely not in a pottery barn catalog here! check out that fancy chandelier. on a porch. ahhh.
i do love the tropical feel of this one. and the curtains are very cool.
and of course this one looks so homey. and colorful. and comfortable.

Hi!
I found your blog through Kayla (shutthefridge). You've got a nice blog and I plan to visit often. Have a great day!

Oh, yes....crappity crap here too! I remember growing up, we would come home from school and my mom would have rearranged furniture in the rooms - all by herself. We thought she was crazy! Why wouldn't she wait until she had help. Now, I find myself doing the same thing. It is just a compulsion to renew and revive old boring stuff! At least you have a budget to decorate the porch! Show us before and after pictures when you are done!
