doily tee shirt.
i went to hobby lobby today.
big mistake.
i loaded my cart up with all kinds of project stuff and happily skipped out of there.
one project anna and i have been wanting to make is a doily tee shirt.
turns out, it's so simple and FAST!
here's what you need:
a tee shirt
paper doilies (i bought mine at publix)
fabric paint
i found this awesome fabric paint with a pump sprayer. it's called s-e-i tumble dye.
it is perfect for this!
position your doily on your tee shirt.
pump/spray the paint where you want it.
peel off the saturated doily and discard it.
put the shirt aside to air dry.
then throw it in the dryer for 20 minutes on high heat.
and it's ready to wear!
i'm already thinking of what cute gifts these would make!
maybe cut out the center of the doily and stencil a number, letter or name.
or how about a tote bag.
or a kitchen or bath towel.
or with another type of stencil, not necessarily a doily.
we are already planning our next trip to hobby lobby for different color paint.
so fun!

doilies and near instant gratification...it's like a dream.
can't wait to try it out!!
I love this project!! I'm going to make my girls (and maybe me) matching shirts!
I hope I can find the spray as we sadly do not have Hobby Lobby around here :(
