I e-mailed you a couple of weeks ago about this exact topic and how I never realized before you brought it to light, how hurtful this is. I told you that I wiped it out of my vocabulary for good, and banned it in my house. I've taken it one step further! I had everyone in my department at work agree that for every time I catch them saying it, they pay me $5 which I will then donate to the Special Olympics. All it takes is seeing one sweet little face like Ben's and that is enough motivation to help try and banish this word! Keep up these posts - we could all use the reminder!
I've never been one to use the R word but because of you (and sweet little Ben) I've become aware of this issue. So many ppl do use it without even realizing. Thank you for opening my eyes. :)

It is hard to believe that in this day and age, people still use that word. Totally unacceptable!
