the power of love

do you remember back in the winter and spring when i wrote about my dear friend lisa?
she and her husband chris were in the process of adopting a little girl named alina.

i was so touched by their experience.
lisa's family is very, very special to me.

i was checking in on them yesterday and saw this recent picture of alina.
with lisa's permission, i'm posting it here for all of you too.

i can't believe this is the same child--she certainly has blossomed with her new family! her life is filled to the brim with love and i can't even begin to write about it without crying.

aren't we so lucky to witness, firsthand, the power of prayer and love, and courage and compassion?

may God Our Father continue to bless alina in ways she could have never imagined.

love you lisa and family. mean it.

We are adopting a little princess from Eastern Europe who has down syndrome and this family was instrumental in leading us on this path. We hope to bring our Sarah home in the spring.
