Haha!! That last one gave me a good chuckle!
that first one made me choke back some tears. i grew up with a sister with special needs (severe retardation) and kids would make fun of her. i'd beat them up. i was FIERCELY protective.now, as a mom of 4, i have two adopted children with special needs (emotional disabilities.) they came from abuse backgrounds. but here's the kicker: now i'm on the other side of the fence. my two adopted children struggle with relating to others, and with impulse control and agression, which sometimes comes across as cruelty.i am, in fact, sometimes living that "worst thing."amazingly, it's actually brought me full circle: to learn how NOT to judge those who might end up seeming unkind. We never know what baggage they carry. God has a sense of humor....and can really stretch us.
