stormy thursday

schools let out at noon today because the weather was predicted to be pretty nasty. fortunately for us, the rains came and went and we were just fine. but all that time indoors spent staring at the weather radar made everyone stir crazy. as soon as the coast was clear, we headed outside to play.

john and josh had a catch in the cul-de-sac.

anna rode her miniature bike (reminder to self: must buy poor girl a bigger bicycle).

i flipped through my ridiculously huge book of magazine tear sheets for ideas on a screened-in porch. that's another big project for this summer, screening in our deck and possibly adding on to the existing deck to make it all bigger.

i guess as our family keeps growing bigger and the kids keep getting bigger, we feel like the house is shrinking. what used to seem roomy and spacious now seems "cozy." we'll have to see if what we can afford to do and after all, i guess there's nothing wrong with cozy! don't worry i'll keep you posted on what we decide to do.

one more thing before i shut down for the night, i got the sweetest, bestest message from my dear sister today. sandee, if you're reading this, i love you and miss you so much. and you're free to take anna any time you want...as long as you bring her back! i promise i'll try calling you this weekend. good night!
