today was a long, jam-packed day. in fact, even as i type this at almost 10pm, ben is still awake. it's just been one of those days.

but we had so much to do. we had to play the game 'sorry' ten times, we had to watch aladdin and the waterhorse. we all read books and played on the computer. anna made up songs and made dances to them.

josh had his friend shane over and they played all afternoon too.
i had to try out a few new recipes like mini-cheesecakes and meg duerksen's mexican chicken. just had to do it. we ate like little happy piggies.

and so now we are b-e-a-t, beat!

one thing we did together, all of us, was watch extreme makeover home edition. it was a rerun, but we all watched again because it was one of those amazing episodes. they went to louisville, kentucky and helped out a disabled blind man and his family.

check this out:

before i had ben, i probably would have thought, "this is such a nice story. neat." and then nothing else.

but now, i think, this is what life is all about. you fall down, you get back up. love is the most important thing in the world and if you have that, then you have everything. god is good. and again, i am so very grateful.
