going good, not going so good

the good news:
anna is loving kindergarten.
josh is liking second grade.

the not so good news:
ben is NOT taking his transition to the two-year old class so well.
or maybe it's more like i'm not taking the transition very well.

the teachers seem nice, but i haven't felt any connections yet.
in fact one teacher made me mad this morning and i felt like she didn't quite know what to do with ben.
for the first time since he's started daycare, i felt like his having down syndrome meant something. and maybe it was something negative.
does that make any sense??

and this afternoon while still at daycare (and probably very unrelated) he fell and split his lip and later at home i discovered that he actually chipped his tooth too!
his sweet little baby tooth is now a gnarly little baby tooth.

and the heart break continues for me.
it's been a very rough week here in mommyhood.

Amy-
Hang in there!

Sounds like there are a lot of transitions going on at your house! I think transitions are hard on everyone.

Sorry to hear about Ben. I'll pray that positive connections will be made. This too shall pass!

I have change/transitions on the heart as I'm a special ed teacher and getting ready to leave my 4 little ones to head back to school after being on maternity leave for 5 months!

Praying for you,
Jody

Chin up, little soldier. Things will get better. Lots of changes to manage through, but it will even out eventually. Katy is right, you do have such a beautiful family. (And a new blue door...) xoxo
