porch redo

i had this cute little black bench sitting on my porch all winter long.
after the christmas decorations were packed up, it sat there all lonely.
the weather was beautiful today so i decided to spiffy it up.


our porch is long and narrow.
there's just enough room for a couple of rockers but nothing else.
so i usually make the plain brick wall into some kind of a focal point.
i wanted it to look sort of like a potting bench area, so i shopped the garage and back yard and came up with this.


i piled lots of old clay pots, some leftover gardening tools and a couple of old watering cans.




i have to say, i'm pretty happy with it.
and now my porch feels all loved, especially that little black bench.
