i'm trying.

to get back to life post-christmas.
i feel so tired.
and almost like a big let down. i don't know, it's hard to explain.

but let's back up a bit.
christmas was awesome. beyond awesome.
i loved every minute of it.

we had a white christmas. IN ALABAMA.
unheard of.
and of course my parents and uncle jay were here with us too.
perfect.
gifts everywhere, cookies and big breakfasts and ham and my mom's macaroni and cheese, grandfather's eggnog, miracle on 34th street, happy, happy, happy.

the kiddos haven't seen that much snow in their lifetime.
they had never built a snowman before.
they didn't know whether to stay inside and play with their new stuff or stay outside in the falling snow.
so they ran in and out and in and out and in. josh changed clothes about five times.
ben didn't really care at all. he was content to play by the tree and watch toy story.
the whole day felt pretty freakin awesome if i say so myself.

i have a few pictures but not much because i was so busy being in the moment.

i'm sure i'll get over it.
after i'm finished organizing everything in our house. whenever that is.
