hello sunday. goodbye summer.

good morning sunday.
lists are everywhere i look. some finished, some not.
lots to do. i think this is going to be a busy day.

today is the last day before the start of the new school year for the kiddos.
i am sitting here in shock, thinking ahead til tomorrow when everyone will be out of the house and on their way at this time.

it's going to be an eye-opener for the kids.
gone are the lazy sleepy-headed mornings of lounging on the sofa or in their beds while poppy watches ben boy.
no more breakfast at lunch time, and swimsuits and flip flops as outfits.

just like that, they have disappeared.
vanished.
vaporized.
our summer gone with them.
even though it is blazing hot outside and still feels very much like summer, we are moving on and changing seasons.

it's already begun.
football started last week.
bring on the marching bands, cheerleaders and megaphones.
half-time's over and it's time to play.
giddy up.
