art contest

i was reading tonight about the lands end's holiday art contest.
i asked the kids if they wanted to draw something to submit.
nah. they wanted to watch tv.

then i told them about the $500 grand prize.
you should have seen them run to the kitchen!
(actually i think it's a gift card, but oh well)

i told them to draw anything they like about christmas, winter and the holidays.
they both chose snowmen.

josh kept his caz (that's mom slang for casual) in mostly black and white with a hint of red.


anna drew the "jesus the snowman and the technicolor dreamcoat" version.


both are equally and beautifully unique--and so much like their personalities.
i'm going to submit them tomorrow.
why not?
