this weekend i lost a coworker and friend.
he passed away suddenly, leaving us all asking questions and struggling to make sense of it all.
he was a good man--a man that loved the Lord, his wife but most of all his grandchildren.
they were his greatest blessings.
he would come into my office, plop down in the guest chair and tell me stories from their weekends together.
he followed them to all of their sporting events, no matter how far he had to go, and gave them 100% of himself.
when he spoke of them, his eyes filled with tears.
every time.
this was a man who knew love, in the grandest and most encompassing sense.
this is the legacy he now leaves behind.
i am so grateful for the advice he gave me.
and i will miss him so.

I'm sorry, Amy.
That is so very hard.
I'm so sorry that you lost a friend, and so sad that his family is grieving this Christmas season.
i'm so sorry.
what a gift he was in your life!!
And he will still follow them and give them 100%. Only now he has wings and it won't be so tiring. Bless his family and bless him for the example he gave you.
