196.

this weekend, a very important picture circulated many of the adoption blogs i follow.
i thought you might like to see it too.

196 orphans found families last year.
196!
that number astounds me!
i can't stress enough how important organizations like reece's rainbow are.
they are changing lives and opening the eyes of thousands of people.
of course, the Lord has his hand all over this.
and i am BLESSED to bear witness to the beauty...

i pray that next year, when the collage is made and the totals are tallied, that a little boy named davis jupin is among the many.
i pray that we will continue to be blessed by the outpouring of love and support from you too--it means everything.
i pray that maybe one of you will click over to reece's rainbow and fall in love, head over heals, and imagine the difference you can make in one year's time.

i certainly did not think i would be on this path, not even once, before i saw davis' face and felt God's nudge.
and believe me, like my friend ann says, "i'm no one special."

don't be so quick to make excuses...
your child might be there.
your calling might be there.

listen.
open your heart and listen.

You have no idea, but you have inspired a change in my life. I learned about RR through your blog, and I have been on a wild ride ever since! My husband and I began the process to commit to a little boy (in Davis' country), but then found out we weren't eligible to proceed. I still love him, and I've been advocating for him here:
