the ma spa

wednesday i was invited to go to the "ma spa" at anna's school.
she was bouncing off the walls with excitement.
you could tell that the children had worked so very hard to make this a special evening for their moms.

when i arrived, i was given an appointment card.
my schedule of pampering.

anna was my usher, taking me to each station and taking care of me the entire way.
she painted my fingernails and toes, did my makeup, gave me a back massage and interviewed me.
and she did it all happily and with a huge smile on her face.

then when i was good and relaxed (and pretty!), she led me to the cafeteria where all the children presented us with poems and read us stories.
the teachers were smart and made sure there were tissues on the table...smart ladies.

oh--and they also served us... a light dinner of chicken salad, pimento cheese, crackers, fruit skewers, cake pops and punch!
don't be jealous but it was all homemade and delicious!

the ma spa is right up there with one of the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me.
and my daughter was the proudest, most happiest girl.
she could not wait to show me all the things she had worked so hard on...all for me.
it was such a wonderful night.
with my wonderful girl.
