today is going to be a good day.

that's what i woke up telling myself today.
it was my mantra.
i wore my new favorite shirt and wedge heels.
they made me feel sassy.
i made coffee and tidied my desk a bit.
i told my office mate first thing, "i think we are going to get a travel date today!"
(so far we haven't but the day isn't over right?)
i caught up on work, on pinterest, on facebook, on my google reader.
i wrote down some crafts i want to work on for the craft show coming up in october.
i ran to the fabric store.
the lady who cut my fabric oohed and aahed over my choices.
she was super sweet and i appreciated her attitude.
i had a coupon.
bonus.

i went to the dollar store and walmart and stocked up on more craft items and fiber fill.
the walmart greeter was my usual favorite.
she always is happy and smiley and today was no exception.
we made jokes that we hadn't seen each other in a while and her laughter was genuine.
i appreciated her today too.
(there really is so much goodness in the world if pay attention)
i ran to sonic and picked up a ginormous vanilla diet coke and three slushies exactly at 2:00 on the dot.
half price.
bonus.
i was first in carline for the first time this school year.
ben was all smiles and ran down the sidewalk to greet me.
it started to rain on our way home.
i checked my email and anna's softball practice was cancelled.
one thing down, two to go.
i'm praying for a downpour.
the big kids only have a little teeny bit of homework tonight and no tests tomorrow.
oh blessed day!
i even squeezed in a few minutes to type up this blog post.
see, it's been a good day.
a really good day.

I'm a lurker, but this post forced me out of lurkdom. I work in a fabric store and ooh and ahh over people's choices on a daily basis. I do so sincerely because I love fabric and there are an infinite number of combinations in the vast inventory in our store. It's nice to think that I might have made someone's day just by admiring their choice of fabric. That thought will make my work day just that much better tomorrow. And since I recognize much of your bounty, I'm guessing you were at your local Jo-Ann store and put your 60% coupon to good use!

That sounds like a REALLY good day -- and can I just say I love the comment above. Yay for people making people's days -- which makes other people's days -- which makes other peoples' and so on and so on....

Great post :)
